Due to the severe ice and the forecast for more snow and sub zero temperatures, we have taken the decision to postpone the transport and connectivity summit in Ilkley on 14 January.
We apologise for the short notice and we will contact the confirmed attendees with new arrangements for the summit in due course.
The next Bradford regeneration summit will be held in Ilkley as discussions concentrate on transport and connections.
Bradford Council has led quarterly regeneration summit events since the start of 2009 and the first event of 2010 will be held at Ilkley's Kings Hall on 14 January from 8.15am to 1pm.
The event will be chaired by the Council's Executive Member for Environment and Culture, Cllr Anne Hawkesworth, with the aim of setting district transport priorities in context of the recently published Leeds City Region transport vision as well as the opportunity to comment and shape the Local Transport Plan.
Presentations will also be made by local and regional partners from the private, public and voluntary sectors.
Cllr Anne Hawkesworth, said: "The Bradford district has a rapidly growing working population which is a major strength as the regeneration of the district gathers pace, more companies invest here and new jobs are created so it is important we have a transport infrastructure that enables us cope with this demand.
"The summit events held last year were a great success in bringing representatives of the private, public and voluntary sectors together to share thoughts and ideas and make sure there is as much partnership working as possible to boost the district's regeneration programme."
Four regeneration summits were held last year that focused on Bradford's response to the economic downturn, making great places and growing skills.
